Tragedy: Nine JAMB candidates die in horrific car accident in Aba


 
Nine JAMB candidates died on Friday April 27th in a fatal accident along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway when the bus they were traveling in rammed into a stationery truck after the driver of the bus lost control of his vehicle while speeding.

There were 15 passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident, nine of them died instantly. The bus driver and conductor also lost their lives. The six remaining seriously injured passengers who survived the accident were immediately taken to the hospital. The 15 JAMB candidates had been traveling from Port Harcourt to Aba to sit for the exam which took place yesterday. May their Souls RIP!

Horror: Three Killed, 200 Injured As WAEC Examination Hall Collapses



Three pupils, including a girl, were killed and hundreds injured on Wednesday when a building in which they were writing the West African Examination Council School Certificate examination (WASCE) collapsed on them.

The incident occurred in Alpha Academy, a private secondary school in Mararaba, Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Some 560 candidates were writing the examination in Alpha Academy. Many of them complained of the cracks before the building came down on Wednesday.

Of the 200 injured candidates, 30 are said to be in critical condition at the CRCN Hospital, Takum, where doctors are battling to save their lives.

One of the survivors, Godiya John, 22, who sustained a spinal cord injury, was immediately referred to the National Hospital, Abuja.

Donga council chair Capt. Douglas Ndatse (rtd), who confirmed the incident, described the examination hall as a one-storey building. He said the examination was taking place upstairs.

Another survivor, simply identified as Ezekiel, said they were waiting for the Biology question paper when the building suddenly came down on them.

Ezekiel, who is seriously injured, said the incident occurred at about 6:48pm, more than three hours behind the time scheduled for the examination. “The paper was slated for 3:30pm,” Ezekiel said, attributing the delay to officials.

Tragic: Babcock University Final Year Student Dies After Final Exams


Tragedy struck on Wednesday in Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo; Ogun state, When a 20-year-old final year Student, Afolabi Andrew Faithful dies in the School Health Centre.
According to reports Andrew was said to be normal and full of life before his untimely death, because He has just finished his final examinations and his ready to go Home after been in school for close to 4 months. Andrew was said to be an Asthmatic patient and allegedly suffered from frequent chronic Asthmatic attacks. Around midnight on Tuesday He suffered yet another attack and was rushed to the school medical center. But unfortunately He couldn't make it this time, He was later pronounced dead after several failed attempt to revive him. May his soul rest in peace.

Tragedy: Lightning Strikes Senior Secondary School Student Dead On Exam Day

The family of a Senior Secondary School 3 female pupil of Muslim College Oworonsoki, Lagos,  has been thrown into mourning after lightning struck and killed 19-year-old Celestina Farotide, who was about to start her final examination the same morning.
The victim’s father was said to be in shock and disbelief and had refused to show up to collect the corpse, saying, “It cannot be my daughter”.
